Growing up in Tübingen, I received early instruction in piano and guitar, sang in school and church choirs, and performed on stage with various rock bands. My interest in very different styles of music awakened my curiosity for film and theater music even as a child. I initially studied music education at the Ludwigsburg University of Education, where I was able to expand my knowledge and skills in music theory, choral and orchestral conducting, as well as music history. At York St John University in England, I complemented my training with courses in composition, orchestration, and arrangement. In 2008, I began my studies at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, which provided me with the opportunity to collaborate with many ensembles (including the Film Orchestra Babelsberg) and also offered me a scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles, the so-called “Hollywood Workshop”. In 2011, I successfully completed my studies with a diploma in film music and sound design. Since then, I have been living and teaching in Freiburg im Breisgau and composing and producing music for films, series, and advertising.
